Gil Weinberg is a researcher, a composer, and a PhD candidate at MIT Media Laboratory. His research focuses on using technology to bring powerful musical and artistic experiences to the general public, novices, and children. He published journal and conference papers on the subject and was commissioned to compose and develop installations by orchestras, art exhibitions, and festivals worldwide. Weinberg has a Masters degree in media arts and sciences from MIT and a BA in music, arts, and computer science from Tel Aviv University, where he founded the musicology department electronic music studio and taught the electronic music course.
