Saxophonist Eliot Gattegno has been hailed as a "gifted young musician" by the Sun Sentinel (Miami) and "brilliant" by The Boston Globe. At 17, Mr. Gattegno made his Jordan Hall debut on the National Public Radio show "From the Top" performing with pianist Christopher O'Reilly. Mr. Gattegno has won various awards and competitions including the Boston Modern Orchestra Project Concerto Competition, New England Conservatory Concerto Competition, Downbeat Magazine Student Music Award, Arts Recognition and Talent Search (ARTS/NFAA) and Interlochen Arts Academy's Fine Arts Award.

As an orchestral and chamber musician Mr. Gattegno has performed with the Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Boston Philharmonic, Boston Civic Symphony, Traverse Symphony Orchestra, Harvard Group for New Music, Calithumpian Consort, Sorria Chamber Players, and is a founding member of the Radnofsky Quartet and Second Instrumental Unit; a New York based ensemble dedicated to the promotion and performance of new music.

Mr. Gattegno has participated in summer festivals including Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt, Tanglewood Music Center, Domaine Forget, and was the first saxophonist to be invited to participate in the Yellow Barn Chamber Music Festival in its 35 year history. Mr. Gattegno has performed in masterclasses given by Jean-Marie Londeix, Marcus Weiss, Serge Bertochi, Jean-Micheal Goury, John Sampen, and Arno Bornkamp as well as having studied chamber music with Donald Palma, Lucy Stolzman, Vivian Weilerstein, Seth Knopp, Natasha Brofsky, and Eliot Fisk among others.

Devoted to the promotion of new music Mr. Gattegno has premiered / transcribed / commissioned over thirty works since 2002 by composers from the likes of David T. Little to Elliott Carter.  Mr. Gattegno is currently an undergraduate student at the New England Conservatory under the tutelage of Kenneth Radnofsky.
