P. Lucy McVeigh graduated from Wellesley College, where she majored in Music and minored in Philosophy. She studied voice with Marion Dry, piano with Jenny Tang, and composition with Jenny Olivia Johnson. She also studied conducting with Neal Hampton, Lisa Graham, and Kenneth Kiesler at the Conductorís Reatreat at Medomak. She performed Harrison Birtwistle's Nine Settings of Lorine Niedecker (1998-2000) with faculty cellist, David Russell. They also premiered a new work for voice, cello, and electronics by Jenny Olivia Johnson in May 2010.
